Bill Gates - the visionary

http://www.cnn.com/2006/TECH/ptech/09/07/school.of.future.ap/index.html

thank you william henry gates III. (well actually hes the IV, but he legally changed his name. i dont remember the reason)

the skool of the future. today. finally. that is my major frustration with the american public skool system. i myself am a part of it so i can observe its ins and outs every day. it is in horrible disarray.

so have you read the article yet?

u havent?

go read the friggin thing!!!!!

lazy...

haha ok i'll get back to the point.

that skool sounds so awesome. laptops instead of books. smartboards, and teachers are teaching you strategic thinking and stuff that you will actually use in modern day USA. that rhymed :)

i know every skool in america cant be like that, but still, the future is in the hands of big dreamers like bill gates. what will he come up with next? actually, if i were you, i'd keep my eye on google. their stock is doing well, and the more money they make, the more projects they come up with that benefit mankind such as google earth which allows you to take pictures of your teachers houses from space*

first impressions are rarely wrong...

alrite so ive been through a few days of my classes. i know all of you love hearing about my skool krap so yea here it is. dont worry, i'll blog about homecoming soon. i just wanted to get a few thoughts off my chest now.

spanish IV - im gonna hate thie class. 1. i hate art. complete and utter fuckin waste of time. 2. its a lot harder than spanish iii. more work and stuff. im lookin forward to the history of spain (after all, i greatly admire El Cid) but i wish there was a bit more english in this class. so yea, im not too thrilled about it.

CAT 400 - mixed feelings. i dont think it'll be too too bad. mr miller seems like a nice guy and all, but he doesnt explain things as well as counter did. plus, i hate learning on my own. i want a teacher to stand up and lecture for 50 minutes. honest to God, that'd make me pretty happy. just sit and take notes. no participation. just sit and listen. at the very minimum, i feel thats what math should be like. w/e. i want the weighted grade so i'll do it. so far the works pretty ez. so far....

english. hell, im gonna love this class. its got tons of awesome people in it and it seems pretty ez. yeah, lotta essays and shit. and that one story "hills like elephants" totally took me like 4 times to understand, but other than that it wasnt too bad. i hope shes an easier grader than thornquist tho... the books we're doin this year look interesting. plus hamlet kicks butt

poly sci. yes. this will be my fav class. i love government. if youve read any of my previous blogs u can tell that i have a lot to say about our current system (and theres plenty more up in my head that i havent typed up yet) anyways, lotta work, but looks pretty interesting. im lookin forward to the debates hehe

ad us. ugh. just ugh. i dont like this class. mr c said that he only lectures one day a year and that was today. ugh. i hate this stuff we're doing. its like a philosophy course or sumthin. just gimme the cold hard facts of history and i'l lmake my own flippin opinions about it.

lunch. gonna kick ass. our table rocks. nuff said.

physics. another ugy. ANOTHER class im just taking for the weighted grade. i have NO interest in physics and in fact i hate it. its so boring. i dont give a shit how fast a rock can fall of off a building. seriously, i want bio back. now.

gym. i love gym. always have always will. my second fav class. medina seems ok. but its pretty strict. plus we're donig swimming. thankfully i have this class 8th period...

all in all, this year looks like a lot of work, little fun. yeah me.
