the inkblot test

*note = this was typed up yesterday. im posting today*

so todays the last day before skool starts again and what do i decide to do at 11 am? why take an inkblot test of course! (actually tickle sent me an email that if i didnt take another test, they'd delete my account and i couldnt let that happen. how else could i prove that i have a high iq? ;)

heres what the results said.

"J, your subconscious mind is driven most by Sexuality

The world is a sexy place for you your erotic self leads the way. Whether this is because you're presently in a great physical relationship or simply want one, you are much more aware of the sexual undertones in situations than most people.

This heightened focus, coupled with your vivid imagination, can make you more likely to have original at times risqué interpretations of things that other people might see as innocuous.

Your subconscious is telling you that you are very much alive, and have a great deal of passion to bring to life."

wow. i was a bit startled by these results, but i cant say that im surprised by them.... i mean, i said only 3 of the inkblots looked like 2 people having sex and there was 11 in all. i mostly saw animals and evil creatures so i thought the results would say something like

"you are emotionally disturbed. all you think about is evil."

lmfao. seriously, i saw more dark wizards (from lord of the rings, not harry potter) than sexuality, but hey, the results are in.

yea i just wanted to share them with all of you cuz i have nothing better to do before i go off to work today......

puh-luh-toh

sry, just wanted a crazy title for thsi posting. as im sure you all have heard, the international astronemers convention has stripped pluto of its title as planet. and i say

good for them. by allowing pluto, charon, ceres, and xena to be planets is diluting the good term of planet into something watered down that can apply to any old piece of rock that happens to be floating by. 8 planets now. im gonna make sure my library fixes the classification of pluto in the dewey decimal system :P after all, planets are 523 while inter-solar system objects should be 524. theres a bit of a grey area, and thats why i hate the DDS.

thats sad aint it? ive spent so many hours working in that friggin library that i know the DDS by heart. ah well, it just impresses the librarians and an impressed boss will in turn impress you with a bigger raise if u catch my drift

what else has been going on? oh not much. same old same old. im going to work in less than an hour, but i felt like blogging. im typing up a POST. im not typing up a BLOG. damn, why cant u people get it right? this entire thing is a blog that contains postings. im sure kevin would agree with this lol.

so its teen week on jeopardy and my mom has been forcing me to watch it everyday. she totally wants me to go on that show, and to be honest i really should. i know 90f the answers in the jeopardy round and 70f the answers in the double jeopardy round. grand prize is a guaranteed 75 grand (unless you've won more in the 4 games you've played.)

if teen jeopardy auditions are held here, then sure i'll give it a shot. its been my lifelong dream to go on a game show. first, im goin on the price is right. then who wants to be a millionaire, then when im 40 i plan on auditioning for jeopardy. we'll see what happens eh? haha

mad dash is tmrw. its so fuckin exciting even tho im a roamer :( oh well, im still a member of rush corp so i get to teach the freshies everything they need to survive DGS. go me.

__________________________. right there is the space where i should say GO . but i dont got one. im so lonely. i guess i'll say GO TIM CURRY!!!! cuz that guy kicks ass. i havent seen any films with him recently. i hope he hasnt retired or anything. *checking wikipedia*

hmm still doing voice acting and was even king arthur in the original version of spamalot in chicago. not bad. his voice acting of "slagar the cruel" was superb.

so lets see... whats the count again? 5 days til skool starts again? damn. that sucks.

driving

well, i've been driving with a license since June 21st (summer solstice. thats how i remember it ;) haha. and a lot of things about this liberal state annoy me. more than annoy. piss me off.

topic 1 = SPEED LIMITS. my gosh, are these politicians blind and deaf or do they just love driving slower than a snail? there are so many streets that i hate the limit on.

83rd street. 30 mph. ARE YOU FUCKIN KIDDING ME?!?!?!? thats just 5 mph over a residential street. i drive on this road almost everytime i go driving cuz i live rite next to it. 30 mph mite've been good back in the 1920s, but not in this day and age. minimum, it should be 35 mph. i suggest 40. this is not like in Chicago. in the city, theres tons of people crossing the street going about their business. wake up people! this is suburbia where no one walks anywhere. in all my time driving on that street, i havent seen a single person trying to cross it. (altho there isnt that much traffic to begin with. crossing would be simple.)

ogden avenue. 35 mph. can u say busy street? i recommend 40 mph. its not that much of a difference, but on those long stretches between wolf road and county line road, its a bitch. (well for people who follow the posted limits......)

I-55 and I-355 and any other I. in the urban area (im talkin east of joliet and south of say evanston) typically 55 mph. this is ridiculous. no one drives on the expressway at that speed. i wont say waht i do (in case any law enforcement officers are reading this hehe) but i can assure u that, if you drive 55, then you will get honked. A LOT. and its downright dangerous if u ask me. when im driving on the expressway, sometimes i dunno if the guy in front of me is trying to stop (and his brake lights aint working, changing lanes, or whatever cuz hes going too slow.

ya'see, in texas the limit for highways is 80 mph. yep. they do things rite in that conservative state. that is so awesome. i wish we could do that in illinois

yeah ive got more driving opinions and i'll do a part 2 on this later.

*shakes head in disappointment*

i only type up a critique/review of a movie if it was A. really good, B. really bad, or C. im in the mood to type and i have nothing else to do. rite now its a mixture of B and C.

the chronicles of narnia: the lion the witch and the wardrobe

yeah i checked it out from the library to see. i read the books like in 3rd or 4th grade, and i remember reading stuff about CS Lewis, the Christian writer, and all that. i remember the books as being pretty good so i figured i'd give the movie a shot.

the first thing that pissed me off is the score. a movie's score should conincide with the mood/tone of the scene that its in. however, in LWW, there would be a fast lively score in sadder parts and a slow tune with some woman singing AKA lord of the rings in the worst times.

the battle sequence was horrible. fighting in bright daylight? ever heard of a setting a mood? geez. you should've had the battle under clouded skies then when aslan appeared AKA gandalf in the two towers, then have the sun break through and cast the field in light AKA aragorn in the return of the king.

i know that Aslan is supposed to symbolize Jesus in the books, and that is excellent. the movie however portrayed aslan as just an ordinary lion who just happens to be the head of the army. they never explained WHY he was there or WHY he was special. at all.

the scene of Jesus' errr i mean aslan's crucifixion was terrible. it was loooong and drawwwwn oouuuuttt to the point where i fast forwarded it at 16X until it finally ended. geez.

and the actress playing lucy wasnt cast correctly. yes, lucy was young, but she wasnt that young. (well in reality im sure the actress was like 11, but she was supposed to look around 7) and i didn't like the actor who played peter's portrayal of the role. peter is supposed to be the strong leader of the kids, not some indecisive punk kid who likes to push his little bro around. gimme a break.

so all in all, DO NOT go out and rent this movie. if you are looking for a fantasy movie that actually has a shred of quality in it, go check out The Lord of the Rings. those were great movies. i mean, peter jackson is just amazing and the return of the king won 11 academy awards :D

My Liberal Views

i do suppose there are a few beliefs of mine that are on the left end of the spectrum (or close to there.) you want me to list them? are you sure? ok. i will.

1. i support light and freight rail travel. we should allocate some of the federal funds for highways and airlines to the rail system. the reason the funds were slashed in the first place as that rail travel decreased in the 70s. its ridiculous that the funds never came back because Amtrak is boasting higher ridage and more freight traffic than ever before. railways are very lucrative, and they can make more money with a little help from los federales. i dont like all the funds dedicated to highways. its extremely unfair, and the only reason they are there is because there is a powerful trucking lobby lobbying for it.

2. campaign finance reform. candidate should not be allowed to use any money they can please on their election campaigns. america has truly become an aristocracy, and me being a middle-class suburbanite has 0 chance of becoming president, senator, or anything higher than state rep or a possible house rep. there should be a cap on campaign spending at all levels (of varying degrees of course) bush spent around 70 million to get re-elected, and i think that is just obscene. i think the cap should be between 20 and 30 million. in addition to that, there should be more required debates on national television. at the minimum 3 but i'd like 5. face to face with a moderator. third party candidates should be included. that way, there will be no confusion as to each candidate's stance on each main issue.

so i did some deep soul searching...

and i think thats it. i dont consider myself liberal any more than that. i mean, i do value the environment. highly, but things are good the way they are now.

and the alaskan oil drilling is a GOOD THING PEOPLE!!!! we need to reduce our dependency on middle-east oil. if we dont use anymore oil from the mid-east AND we sever all ties to israel, then we wont have to fight another war in the near-east. but thats for a different blog.... later peoplez

If I were Pope...

so this is how insanely bored i am right now. i ask myself, what would i do if i were pope? i doubt any of you care much for this sort of thing, and thsi will be incredibly confusing/boring if yer not catholic so surf www.ebay.com if u dont want to read about catholicism haha.
1. mend ties with eastern orthodox church. we broke in the great schism around 1100 over who was the rightful pope, some guy in byzantium or some guy in rome. COME ON PEOPLE!!! the differences between us are minimal. in this day and age, unity is important, and we need to create a unified Roman Catholic church that stretches from the USA to Russia. (the majority of Catholics) not from the US to the edges of eastern europe!
after all there is strength in numbers.
2. relax the rules of priesthood. face it. we're losing priests. we need to get rid of some of the old rules NOT because we're making the religion more liberal but because they're not vital to our faith.
A. let widowers with children become priests. this would benefit the widower recovering from the loss of his wife greatly because faith can fill that hole in your life with your significant other dying. besides, most widowers are retired so they would have plenty of time to devote to the priesthood.
B. lift the vow of poverty. i understand the importance of sacrifice to show your commitment to God, but in this day and age $10,000 a year is nothing. now i'm not saying that the church should cough up the money for a higher salary, im saying that priest should be allowed to take on part-time jobs in addition to the priesthood. they should be able to own property like houses, and this should encourage more men to the priesthood.
C. this is my most radical belief. allow married men to become priests. BUT they still must take the vow of sellebacy (sp?). i think the vow is important to establish that God is the main thought in your mind, but i also know that God wants us "be fruitful and multiply" i dont think its so bad for a priest to have a few kids then stop so he can become a priest. in the priest breaks the vow, no one will know but himself and God. after all, God knows all.
3. reverse the order issued from the college of cardinals that is changing the mass around. the mass is fine the way it is, and the words shouldn't be changed to a more "exact" translation.
4. saint the late pope John Paul II. that man truly was a saint.
5. retry all of the scientists that the church imprisoned/discriminated against, and if found innocent, issue a formal apology to their living descendants and a post-humous pardon.
6. re-assert stance on stem cells, women clergy, and abortion.
7. work with the UN to establish peace in the world, but also reconize that some war may be needed to save lives in the future.
8. MISSIONARY WORK!!! those jehovah's witnesses are beating us people. we need to get active church parishoners to go out in their neighborhood and spread the good word of Christ. we need to dispell the stereotypes ascoiated with Christianity and show that it is perfectly fine to believe in the Bible and use modern technology. it isnt some "archaic book" turn more people on to catholicism and save some souls.
9. define our stance on evolution. John Paul the Great did some work on this, but we need a formal document stating the church's stance on darwinism and evolution.
maybe we can introduce the idea of intertwining the two. God guided evolution so that we are the way we are? just an idle thought.
10. take plenty of pictures of myself in the pope's hat cuz that thing just pwns. period.
i think thats about it for now. thanks for bearing with another serious blog. later homeys.
