an end to tradition

so yea i got up early today and went down to marshall fields wit my dad. due to the whole changing it and all that shit. so i go down metra and walk for a long time but we got there. i headed straight to the coin shop cuz thats the most interesting place there. well except for the makeup counter. u no how much i love makeup hahahahaha
i was lookin around, saw the walnut room and the grand tree and it made me really angry. dammit, u business bastards. why the hell do u hafta ruin a chicago tradition? i mean, yer not a fuckin chicagoan if u havent been to marshall fields and looked at the windows. ahhh i shuld probably stop swearing. ah well, im still so pissed bout that.
and of course i passed all the bums and it made me sad lookin at em. i culd barely stand an hour outside let alone all day. i felt so sorry for them. maybe i can improve life for them if i become president

almost the end of 2005

december 28. 2005 is nearly done. ahhh what a year, but thats for a different post. random piece of trivia i saw on cnn - this is the first time in seven years where there is a leap second in the calendar. we have one more second to celebrate 2005 before 2006 :D :D haha yea its cuz of the eccentricities in earth's orbit so we need to add a second to the clock to make up for it. damn those scientists gotta be precise :P
im enjoying winter break as much as i can. i got my us history community service essay done and my spanish scene done (why yes i would like a pat on the back) but the day we come back looms closer. those two weeks of january fly by lemme tell ya and then theres FINALS *dun dun dun* scary.
altho this year it shuld be interesting. this time last year, my finals were spread over the course of the week. monday - off, tuesday - english and acting, wednesday - lunch, regular englich class, gym final, thursday (hardest day) geo, world studies, no acting final, friday - bio and spanish finals
this years sched: monday - off, tuesday - NONE DAMMIT, wednesday - health, chemistry, and math, thursday - no final, english (this one is probably gonna be the hardest one) and us history (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAH do yer worst chochole) and then friday is lunch and spanish. seems like theres no point to friday rite?
so i got off on that tangent. ah well, it must've kept yer interest cuz yer still reading this. aaaahhh, hardly anyones on aim. outta 200 buddies, only 14 are on. 54 total including aways.
i dont really have much to say so i'll leave u with these words of wisdom.
"my cat's breath smells like cat food." "don't ask me, im just a girl *hee hee hee hee*" and who can forget "pffft, why should i study english? im never going to england." aaahhhh im watching waaay too many simpsons episodes.
ITS PEANUT BUTTA JELLY TIME!!!!

Christmas 2005 = DONE

another Christmas has come and gone. kinda sad cuz i wish we had christmas lights and christmas songs on the radio year round. first christmas w/o my grandpa (so now im grandpa-less) which was pretty sad, but not we managed. but i no people are grandparent-less and parent-less so i shuld probably be quiet and thank God for what i have.
moving on. christmas was a good payoff. a fair amount of cash/gift certificates, i didnt count it all but im pretty sure that its sumwhere around 400. in addition to that i got a bunch of DVDs, books, and other random krap including socks and coin books. hah.
winter break is so amazing. i can finally watch the price is right. (hell, im watchin it rite now) and i love to shout out THE PRICE IS WRONG BITCH! at the tv. (hmm talking to a tv, i dont think thats a good sign) and if im still home, i watch who wants to be a millionaire on WGN. yea im probably smarter than 95% of the contestants on that show. i get the questions rite like 2/3s of the time. and the questions i dont get rite are those stupid pop culture questions such as who was J Lo's first husband or what famous actor proposed to a japanese sushi waitress? btw, i still have no idea on the first but i now no that it was nicholas cage (one of my fav actors) who married the sushi waitress.
i digress. so winter break pretty much rocks. i finally dont hafta rush and do all my hw and write all those essays. (oh shit, i just remembered that i gotta textmark the catcher in the rye.) ah wells, thats what mondays for ;)

atheists

http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=578&u=/nm/20051220/pl_nm/life_evolution_dc_4
God has been forsaken in that skool district. i hope that God has mercy on that judge for making that decision. i think that its sick twisted and wrong that they wouldnt teach ID (Intelligent Design) thats like teaching a debate class and teaching only the pro-life side of the abortion debate instead of both. anyone who was in mr gales class last year knows my views on evolution. if anyone would like to debate me about bullshit (thats evolution) i say bring it on bitch.
this leads me directly into my rant of the day. so im leavin skool on wednesday and my schol bowl coach says "merry.....oh wait. i mean, happy holidays. i dont know if u celebrate christmas or not." to quote holden caulfield fo the catcher in the rye. that killed me. i said "no ms kenny, MERRY CHRISTMAS"
i hate that. i understand people dont always celebrate Christmas. (honestly, who? pretty much everyone i know celebrates a comercialized christmas/religious Christmas) and in the olden days, people said merry christmas. if u dont celebrate it, smile and say i dont believe in christmas. thats kool, i respect that, but dont bring the nation down with you. ITS THE CHRISTMAS TREE DAMMIT!!! NOT THE HOLIDAY TREE!!!! i wish that America wuld stop conforming to the needs of atheists. thats who i blame all this fear on. fear of being poltically incorrect. its likt a christmas carol play. say the King of Israel, not a child.
so yeah im just rambling on Merry Christmas everybody.

guess what?

guess who got his permit? if u said giacommo puccini then yer so damn wrong. I GOT MY PERMIT YESTERDAY!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!
haha yeah im excited bout that :)

ma week

*returns to the world of blogging with head held low in shame* lol yeah i apologize for the lack of posts, but who ever reads this thing anyways? and i'll make up for it to this post plus a rant coming soon ;)
you would think that the last week before break would be awesome. it was the exact opposite for me. i had pretty shitty days like wednesday and thursday and my only awesome day was friday. hell, when is friday not a good day? (friday the thirteenth = awesome) so yeah in english AND in health we have been doing a unit on grief which are completely unrelated. so i was treated to many stories about death and dying not one but TWO periods a day. my gosh. it was so depressing reading about the man whose wife of 50 years died in his arms or our guest speaker in health whose daughter was murdered by her ex-boyfriend with a baseball bat.
although it is pretty interesting and all with the 5 stages of grief and how it relates to the catcher in the rye. my teacher, thornquist, wants us to be psoting on bb all about our own personal experiences with grief and im not very comfortable doing that. im not the type to go around yelling hey my grandpa died a few months ago!!!! everyone listen to me!!!!! yeah im in the acceptance stage of the grieving process!!!! are you listening to me!!!!! u get the picture. but it was a graded blackboard post so i embelleshed the truth a bit cuz i wanted a good grade without giving much away to everyone.
catcher in the rye. very interesting book. very. its all about this kid holden who talks all about his smoking/hard drinking/sex life. it can get pretty funny in parts and very erm interesting like when he pays 10 bucks for a prostitute in his hotel or when hes talking to the college guy about asian chicks and how good they are at sex ;)
english i cant complain. i got a friggin A-!!!!!!!! on my essay!!!!!! it was so awesome. thornquist only gives u an A if u wow her and a B if u do an excellent job. i culdnt believe it. i suppose montana 1948 really was the best book ive read in high skool so far. (after macbeth)
wednesday after skool was pretty kool. i had 3 club meetings to go to (dammit, why cant u guys coordinate and meet on different days?) but of course i chose to go SNOWBALL MEETING!!! woot! lol yeah good ole snowball. it was a lot of fun just hanging out and talking. (i just found yer myspace doug) and go fuchsia!!!! rite brit?
schol bowl we did nothing cuz i have no idea where ms kenny was. kevin scared pat and brian off so it was just kevin steve and me there. go sophomores!!! and we were screwin around and kevin had 100 hottest chicks on tv on sum odd channel.
the math test on friday was simple and the calcs helped. after skool i FINISHED MY COMMUNITY SERVICE!!! WOOOT!!! lol yeah im happy. 10 hours are done in less than a month. so now i need to do a 3 page essay aobut my experiences..... and then i hadta work thurs and fri which was ok.
so yeah thats my week. im a very exciting person huh? ah well, look for the rant thats comin soon.

review of the winter play

i had a nice long blog about the goings on in my week. however, my connection decided to restart at the precise time i tried to post it. needless to say, i was pretty pissed off lol. but giving my computer a good kick always makes it better :)
anyways. my review of the winter play, a christmas carol. it was a fantastic performance. kudos go out to every actor and actress in it. the set was pretty good and the noisy snow machine was hilarious. the actor who played scrooge, sorry man i cant remember your name, was the clear standout. he did a great job with the portrayal of his character.
however the one thing i didnt like about the winter play was the making it less Christian and more like a holiday thing. the little things i can ignore. however, the song goes noel, born is THE KING in Israel. not a child. i found it very insulting that you reduced Jesus down to a child. if u dont think that he is King, then i respect that decision. but. that is why its called a CHRISTMAS carol. not a hanukkah carol, not an atheist's carol. a CHRISTMAS carol. if the ideals of Christmas offend you, then im sorry. this is a country dominated by Christians. you are bound to hear our beliefs once or twice in your lifetime. if it offends you that the King was born in Israel, then im sorry. thats the truth. i think that it was terrible that it was reduced down to that and i think it was a poor decision on the director's part.
other than that unpleasantness. this was definitely a quality production. great set, sound, and lighting. the best part was the acting. all of u guys did a great job. congrats on a job well done!

ho ho ho and all that krap

today i got 5 hours of community service done by helpin out at the polar express train ride. ya'no doin the usual volunteer thing. watch the little kids and make sure none of them run onto the train tracks at the DG or Aurora train station, man i was so close to u mel lol. it was a lot of fun. i got to wear a santa hat and ride metra four times in one day. woot! lol.
our storyteller was pretty kool, and part of the DGS choir sang carols for us. i passed out the chocolate milk and cookies to all the chilluns and it was a great experience. lol yeah i'll put a bunch of that stuff in my essay that i'll write over winter break. so now ive got 8/10 hours done, and key club has got me signed up for gift wrapping at barnes and noble for an hour each this friday and next. 10/10 at last ;)
moving on. these past few days have been a blur of work work work work work work and u guessed it - monkeys. so erm yeah i had a big thing due pretty much everyday this week and u know how lazy i am so i hadta get em done lol. health i passed the CPR test becuz of stapleton's generosity. (the first time i did the test i forgot to tell sum1 to call 911. HUMONGO mistake so he let me do it over hehe)
us history is by far the best class i have this year. chochole use the most sexually-suggestive language (CERAN WRAP!!!) that he admits or that kevin and i twist lol. where would us history be w/o kevin? we would probably sit with our hands folded on our desks and give an apple to teacher and be quiet when he speaks. and thats hell so kudos to u kevin lol.
and who can forget that embargo spelled backwards is ograbme. haha those colonists' minds were in the gutter jsut like now a days. weekend = finally some time to relax.
